It's been a while since we last released any news but it doesn't mean that nothing happened here since than. During the summer Zabbix team has made a good job and we have gathered some interesting information and actualities we would like to share with you.

First of all we would like to announce that Zabbix team has new reinforcements. Rihards, known to Zabbix community as RichLV, has joined Zabbix team. As the old campaigner of Zabbix community he has been with Zabbix for years since the very beginning and now he joined us on the near side. He will take under his patronage Zabbix community, so expect all the information related to Zabbix become as reachable and readable as it is possible.
On October 28th and 29th, 2009 the Open Source Monitoring Conference will take place at Nuremberg, Germany. The conference will gather Open Source professionals from different enterprises around the Europe and of course representative from Zabbix team is joining the event with the speech "Introducing Zabbix". This presentation will introduce the wide array of features Zabbix has, explain basic principles and steps to set up Zabbix up easily for the first time and introduce new features in the freshly released new version of Zabbix 1.8.
Release of 1.8 planned for the end of October.
Due to rising popularity of Zabbix training courses we worked out a new schedule that now can be checked on our website "training" section. We increased number of trainings and are more flexible with on-site training to suit everyone's wish to achieve Zabbix certification. So feel free to get in touch should you have any ideas regarding this and we will enter into discussion immediately.

This is great opportunity for those who are keen to achieve Zabbix certificate but live in South America and cannot afford trip over the ocean. In cooperation with Unirede Solucoes Corporativas Zabbix training will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil from November 16 to 20. This training session is one of the first trainings held on Zabbix 1.8. It will provide in-depth information about functionality and configuration of Zabbix, along with hands-on workshops and exercises. Nearly 40% of time will be spent on practical work.
