1.8.12 is Out!
On the 24th of April the new Zabbix 1.8.12 version was released. You can download the software and read more about the new features here.
In Zabbix 1.8.12 we developed multiple server support for the active agent. Previously the agent was able to communicate to only one server or proxy in active mode. In 1.8.12, a new parameter StartActive has been added, with the help of which the agent is now able to communicate to multiple servers and proxies.
Zabbix 2.0.0 RC3 Released Recently
The Third Release Candidate of Zabbix 2.0.0 has been released. You can download this candidate version, try out the new features and play with the new design. Please note that this is for the trial only. You must not use it as a stable version.
Zabbix is now another step closer to the major release of a stable 2.0.0 version!
Meet Zabbix at Open Source Day in Warsaw
Zabbix reseller partner, Acati ILG, is going to represent Zabbix at Open Source Day 2012 in Warsaw, Poland on May 8, 2012. Visitors of the conference will have a great chance to find out more about the Zabbix Monitoring Solution and services provided by Acati ILG at the company stand.
Open Source Day, the biggest open source conference in Poland and one of the largest in Europe, is celebrating its 5th anniversary and expects to gather above 600 participants from all over Poland.
Visit Zabbix Stand at Japan IT Week
From May 9-11 Zabbix will exhibit at Japan IT Week 2012, the country's largest IT exhibition with over 1200 companies participating last year. This year's exhibition promises to bring even more companies under the roof of Tokyo Big Sight, with 12 different sections covering all sectors in IT. Zabbix stand will be located in the Cloud Computing Expo Japan sector in East Hall, Booth No. Est 16 – 29.
Kodai Terashima, our support engineer, will be giving a presentation called "Cloud Monitoring with Zabbix 2.0 OSS Monitoring Software" on May 10 at 11:30 – 12:30. Location: East 2 Hall 2F 1.
Welcome a New Zabbix Partner from Japan
CROSS HEAD just recently signed a Certified Partner agreement with Zabbix. The company provides a wide range of IT services to organizations in Japan. It offers virtualization and mobile business solutions, operation management and monitoring. Among the company customers are many system integrators and businesses from financial and security industries, as well as major electric companies in Japan.

Training Sessions Around the World
More training sessions are scheduled for this spring/summer. Zabbix Certified Specialist and Zabbix for Large Environments courses will cover Zabbix 1.8 Version (also applicable for 1.4 and 1.6 versions).
Zabbix Professional Training Comes to the UK
After many requests for Zabbix Professional Training in the United Kingdom Zabbix have organized a training session in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Newcastle upon Tyne (or Newcastle, for short) is one of the largest cities in the United Kingdom. The city is now known to be a cultural centre and the Science City, and is possibly one of the trendiest places in the UK. One of the most attractive places to visit is the Centre for Life, which is a "science city" in the centre of Newcastle that has interactive exhibits that people of all ages will be likely to enjoy.

Two Training Sessions in Porto Alegre, Brazil
"Many requests for Zabbix Professional training are coming from South America. So we are happy to inform that Unirede, a Certified Partner of Zabbix, will organize 2 sessions in Porto Alegre in May and June, each containing both Zabbix Certified Specialist and Zabbix for Large Environments courses." Training will be delivered in Portuguese and is open to anyone interested in the course. At the end of the training all the participants will get an official Zabbix Certificate.
Porto Alegre is one of the largest cities in Brazil and is known to be one of the business centres in the country. However, if you are interested in the beautiful nature of South America, then Porto Alegre is the place to see. It is located on the estuary of five rivers that are forming the Lagoa dos Platos. In addition, it has one of the most beautiful sunset views in the world.

Zabbix Conference 2012
The agenda of Zabbix Conference 2012 is building up. Some of the speakers have been confirmed already, while others are on the way. This is a sneak preview of speakers at our conference:
Andrew Nelson, a consultant at Red Hat (does not officially represent the company at this event) will be giving a presentation on Zabbix performance tuning.
Marek Neumann from Jesta Digital GmbH will give a speech on Zabbix + JavaEE Platform Monitoring.
Mattias Geniar from Nucleus BVBA will talk about the advantages and current state of mobile interfaces that assist in the monitoring world. Based on the Zabbix API.
