Impressions of KDE Akademy
Our Senior Consultant, Rihards Olups, just returned from the KDE Akademy in Tallinn and told us how he found the event:
“Akademy 2012 in Tallinn was an awesome open source community event - at least the first two conference days I had the chance to attend. It was well organized, had great speeches, and really awesome attendees.
Not only were the talks interesting, in many cases the problems they tackled were not exclusive to KDE and the talks would have been useful to anybody who is involved in projects that require successful communication - which would be almost everybody.
I am sure the next 5 days of workshops and other events will be very productive and will improve KDE even more.”
We hope that those of you who attended the event, or are still enjoying the workshops find it very useful. We are looking forward to the next year’s event and hoping that many of you will follow us to KDE Akademy 2013.
2.0.1 (stable) Released
Zabbix is proud to announce the release of Zabbix 2.0.1 (stable). You are more than welcome to download the latest version from our website.
In 2.0.1 over 60 bugs were fixed and some new functions were added such as Zabbix server availability check by front-end pages and maximum number of volumes monitored by Zabbix agents. Moreover, several interface languages were updated, such as Brazilian Portuguese, Greek, French, Russian, etc. For more information about changes read the release notes.
1.8.14 Released
For those who will not migrate to Zabbix 2.0 in the nearest future, we released Zabbix 1.8.14 version that fixes some known bugs and has updates to functions. You can download the latest version here.
However, we would like to encourage all of you to move up to Zabbix 2.0 version as it has more features, like low level discovery, not found in Zabbix 1.8, and a redesigned interface.
There can be many reasons why you would like to stay with Zabbix 1.8, but if the main aspect is migration, then simply leave the upgrading process to our specialists. That way you may save time, effort and money.
Zabbix Conference 2012
Attention! Attention! Everyone, who has not registered for the Zabbix Conference 2012 yet – DO IT NOW! The event will take place in Riga, Latvia, on September 21-22. Even if it seems like September is far away, don’t leave it for too late to organize your trip, as it is actually less than 3 months left. For those of you who live outside the EU, please, make sure you check if you require a visa, before traveling. We can arrange the invitation letter for you if needed.
We have lots of interesting talks for you and many inspiring speakers. Go to conference agenda to check the details and decide which presenters you can’t wait to hear. Don’t forget that there is a chance for you to visit the Zabbix head office just to see how we work.
