First Alpha Version of Zabbix 2.2 Out!

For those who still have not heard this great piece of news, we are happy to announce that on July 5th Zabbix Team released Zabbix 2.1.0 - first alpha version of Zabbix 2.2.

The new release introduces several major features along with numerous improvements. However, please keep in mind that this is a very early Alpha Release, it is not yet feature complete and does not fully represent the expected 2.2 version.

Please feel free to test it and report to us any issues. Complete Release Notes of Zabbix 2.1.0 can be found here.

Zabbix Nordic Trip 2013 Coming Soon!

For all Scandinavian IT and business people we suggest this a great opportunity to attend one of the Zabbix Meetings that are taking place from September 17th until September 20st in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

In-memory cache for historical data [ZBXNEXT-322]

To improve the performance of the Zabbix server, starting from 2.2 it will use an in-memory cache for storing latest historical data. This will reduce the amount of SQL queries required when calculating trigger states, calculated and aggregated item values and resolving certain macros, thus lowering the load on your database server.
