Summing-up Zabbix Conference 2013!
ZabConf in Numbers
Zabbix Conference 2013 is officially over now, so it’s time to sum-up the results and remember all the most interesting facts about the past event.
This year, Zabbix conference has gathered together 154 attendees, coming from 23 countries, including the USA, Germany, Nordic countries, Austria, the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Hercogowina, Japan, France, Italy, Spain and many others. But, of course, there were few countries that were the most active this year. The biggest number of international participants has arrived to us from: the UK, Russia, Poland and the Netherlands.
52 hours in total we have spent together with our conference participants, starting from Thursday, September 5th, 19:00 o’clock “Zabbix Welcoming Party at Zelta Bowling” up to Saturday, September 7th, 23:00 o’clock “Zabbix Evening Trip Rundale Palace”.☺

Meet Us at Latinoware 2013
Latinoware is a Latin American Free Software Conference that is organized each year in Brazil and this year is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Starting from October 16th to October 18th, Latinoware 2013 will be taking place in the Itaipu Technological Park (PTI), located in the premises of Itaipu Bi-National.
Alexei Vladishev, Founder and CEO of Zabbix SIA, is going to visit the Latinoware conference this year and give a speech on Zabbix Monitoring Solution. Besides Alexei, there will be another 9 speakers, telling about different topics, related to Zabbix, including practical application, community questions and technical presentations.

Zabbix Presentation at the OSMC 2013
Zabbix SIA, represented by Senior Consultant, Rihards Olups is going to Nuremberg, Germany in October 22nd-24th to take participation in the official program of OSMC, Open Source Monitoring Conference.
Rihard Olups will be giving a live demo, called Zabbix: A Practical Demo demonstrating actual basic configuration of Zabbix starting with data gathering and ending with receiving an alert. So, if you have a chance to join this conference and attend Rihard’s presentation, then please do so, as it will be worth to see!

Availability of Zabbix 2.1.4!
The fifth alpha version of Zabbix 2.2 is out, introducing major features along with numerous improvements. Complete Release Notes of Zabbix 2.1.4 are available here.
Please note! Zabbix 2.1.4 is not for production use. It is not yet feature complete and does not fully represent expected 2.2 version.
VMware monitoring [ZBXNEXT-1633]
One of the biggest new features in Zabbix 2.2 is the build in support for VMware monitoring. Not only will you be able to monitor virtual machines, but vSpheres and vCenters as well. Zabbix 2.2 will also offer extended low-level discovery functionality for automatically setting up your virtual machine monitoring configuration.
Soon-To-Be Zabbix Professional Trainings
There are two Zabbix Professional Trainings that are planned for the next week, organized by Zabbix Certified Partners, Systematica s.r.l. and Alerta Security Solutions. The trainings will take place in Bologna, Italy and São Paulo, Brazil and will both start on September 16th.
A week later, starting from September 23rd, Zabbix Professional Training will be held in Paris, France and Kortenberg, Belgium, also run by Zabbix trustful Partners, Core IT Project and Open-Future, B.V.B.A.
If you are planning your journey to Italy, Brazil, France or Belgium and if Italian, Portuguese, French or English are the languages in which you are free to speak, then please join the upcoming trainings and get your certification in Zabbix Monitoring Solution!

Join Tomorrow’s Webinar in Spanish
Tomorrow at 16:00 GMT+2 (Madrid time) Zabbix SIA is organizing its regular webinar session, talking about Zabbix Monitoring Solution and its main features, possibilities and functionalities. The webinar will be held in Spanish and as always will run for 1 hour, after which the participants are more than welcome to ask their questions related to Zabbix software using chat.
