Zabbix at EventsOpen Source Conference 2014 Zabbix Japan LLC participated in and sponsored Open Source Conference 2014 in Japan, dedicated to open source products and related services. This year more than 1500 people visited the event, providing a great opportunity to meet with leaders of open-source movement in Japan, to exchange knowledge and experience, and to expand the network contacts with more than 65 communities present. Linux Day Torino Last week our partner from Italy, Dimitri Bellini from Quadrata, held a speech about Zabbix installation at the annual Linux Day event in Torino! DSS ITSEC 2014 This Thursday Pavel Jelisejev, Zabbix Lead Front End Developer, will take part in DSS ITSEC 2014, the biggest event in the Baltic States in the fieled of IT Security, as one of the event's honored speakers, to present a speech: „Zabbix: Security Through Awareness”. Zabbix Community in Belgium On 11th December Mattias Geniar from one of the top Belgian hosting companies, Nucleus, is organizing a meetup, in collaboration with the Belgian Zabbix Users-Group and the Puppet Users-Group, to demonstrate how he is managing its Zabbix monitoring setup with Puppet. Besides Puppet related information, everyone will have a great opportunity to get introduced to Zabbix as well. |

Changing log level at runtime [ZBXNEXT-101] Whenever you encounter a problem with one of the Zabbix daemons, it is useful to be able to obtain information from the log files. However, if your log level settings where not high enough, you would need to restart the daemon to enable more detailed logging. Starting from Zabbix 2.4 you can change the log level at runtime by using the new options for the -R parameter. |
